I had a successful clinical career, two master's degrees, and a full practice. From the outside, I had arrived. Then I was told it was time to go, and I listened. Deep down I knew it would cost me, and I moved anyway.

And what was the trade off? I became the first generation shaman in my family and walked through many initiations with master teachers. I left the country I knew. Years later, when I outgrew the business I had built, my income dropped sharply, and I had to face what was underneath it: a body that braced against being seen, and patterns in my lineage around identity and invisibility that I had been carrying without knowing.

I did the work. I learned to trust myself first and let the proof come after.

Today I live in the mountains of the Dominican Republic, where I own a retreat center. Married to my soulmate, and wrote my memoir, Living From the Center. I have mentored thousands of women over nearly 20 years. I wake up happy, at peace in my body, and clear about what I am here to do and my energy is at a level of Beast Mode because just like I don't have to time to waste.
